I dare say this is the funniest thing in the comic strip world today… I hope everyone that dislikes it will die and never be reborn.

well, i think its funny

in kindergarden i learned that if you don’t have anything nice to say to somebody then you don’t say it. maybe as college students we could finally start to apply this lesson. you keep going phil, you have your role to play in the character of the colonialist, the blog we all love so dearly. so shut up you negative assholes. if you are angry about it do something constructive (like write your own comic strip) or keep your mouths shut.

First of all, this conversation is about a comic strip on a blog. Is it really necessary to call people assholes just because they have a differing opinion than you? And, frankly, everyone has been really civil about their opinion, so the anger seems kind of absurd.

So, I’m sorry if you are offended by what I have to say, but: Rarely does Phil make sense, let alone make me laugh. It just isn’t funny.

If everyone that didn’t have something nice to say decided not to say anything at all, there would be no such thing as “constructive criticism.” That’s precisely what this is: an attempt to make the Colonialist better by weeding out the parts of it which simply don’t, uh, make the cut.

“Phil” is a comic strip. Comic strips should be funny. “Phil” is not funny. Therefore, the Colonialist should get rid of “Phil.” If thinking (and saying) this makes me an asshole in your eyes, maybe you do belong back in Kindergarten.
