Luna Diner is GW’s Last Hope
If you can name one person satisfied with the breakfast options at GW, we would be incredibly surprised. We miss DJ’s Fastbreak, we really do. It was terrible and dirty, but it was our own.
So, what are we left with? The overpriced, under-servicing Tonic and the taste-bud numbing Ivory Tower. GW Deli sometimes satisfies, but they aren’t there for you when you want a hang-over breakfast.
What’s a Colonial to do?
Well, I have good news. Luna Diner is easily the best breakfast option around. It’s on Connecticut, just off DuPont Circle, and it is delicious. Luna serves breakfast all day, and re-fills your coffee quickly and doesn’t charge $9 for two scrambled eggs. Tonic, I’m looking your way.
It’s a diner. In the area. What more could you possibly ask for?
Now go spread the good word.

It’s true - they’re the best breakfast in DC proper. But if you’re ok with crossing the Potomac, Harry’s in Clarendon is the most fantastic brunch I’ve had within 100 miles.
Have y’all forgotten the GW Hospital? It serves breakfast 7 days/week from like 6:30AM to 9:30AM or something like that.
But that shit is DIRT CHEAP! And they take GWorld. I’ve never spent more than $8 there, and I buy scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels/cream cheese, drinks, milk - almost no item costs more than $1. Best kept secret at GW.

I won’t have any of this GW Deli bashing
