Event Enticement! Fuck Yea!
So, in order to do some lubin up for the show on the 9th, here is a clip from ‘On Parole.’ It won’t show up in the cut exactly as it is here, but its nearly a full scene from the script . In addition, here’s a DISCLAIMER: What will be screened at the event is a ROUGH CUT. That means it doesn’t yet have a proper sound mix, it’s not fully color-corrected, some things haven’t been included that will be in the final / some things have been included that won’t be in the final, among a number of other particulars that we’re still working out. This is where our beloved audience comes in; the two main functions of the screening will be to help raise money (as Darren has said below) to finish the film, as well as hopefully get yall’s responses / suggestions, we can get it to a really good place. I apologize for the anxious rambling, but this makes me nervous. Thanks again and enjoy.
[What you need to know about the script for the clip to make sense: Charlie (GW, receSs alum, TJ Miller) has recently been released from prison on parole, and is trying to get back to living a normal life. He has some difficulty gettin some lovin and is stuck at a shitty, state-mandated job because of his criminal history.]
Edit: It has been brought to my attention that it hadn’t previously been noted that this film is being produced primarily by Colonialist contributors: It was co-written by fellow Colonialist editor, Darren Miller, Paul Briganti of SVA’s bleak! Comedy, and myself, directed by me and Paul, and produced by Darren. Fuck you, schoolwork, I wasn’t gonna do you anyway!
