Fear Thurston 926 Update
Let it be known that when The Colonialist and the Capp Administration team up, nothing can stop us. Just hours after our initial blog post about the jungle growing in Thurston 926, SA President Nicole Capp took the issue into her own hands. She immediately contacted the director of Facilities, Jim Schrote, who received the email around 6am the next morning.
I am told that by 11am Wednesday (about 12 hours after the post was made), Thurston’s 9th floor was filled with maintenance workers.
The following update was emailed from Jim Schrote to Nicole Capp:
There was a leak in the roof. We had to bring in a contractor to patch it. The roof work was finished today and we will be finishing up the repairs to the wall and ceiling over the next few days, or as soon as the walls dry out. We have also placed a dehumidifier in the room.
We will stay on this until completion.
I have been in contact with a few of the roommates in Thurston 926. “They had to tear apart the wall to get at the leak,” said roommate Greg Schept, “There is an enormous hole in my wall and ceiling.”
“There is a dehumidifier running in our room that looks like it was left over from the Carter Administration,” said fellow roommate Sam Gallicchio. “I’m living in a Kafka-esqe nightmare.”
The university has told the room that the walls and ceiling will be fixed by the end of today.
We will have pictures of the rooms current situation as soon as they arrive in our email.
To be honest, it’s amazing that all of this went into motion as quickly as it did. This is further proof that Nicole Capp might actually be a superhero. A superhero with the superpower of easiliy dealing with bureaucracy.

I am not at all surprised this happened in Thurston. Stuff like this has happened in other buildings as well.
Hopefully Vishal will become embroiled in a sex scandal and we can put all this SA doing shit nightmare behind us.
Guys, unsafe hazardous conditions are what give Thurston its charm. Way to blow another cute quirk out of proportion.
