Fire at the Allen Lee?
I arrived back from a trip to New York to the sound of myriad sirens. When I rounded the corner, I saw 3 firetrucks and an ambulance, firemen rushing inside.

The firetrucks started to leave after about 45 minutes.

I think it’s a combination of all three. I’m pretty sure there are permanent residents because it’s such a cheap motel. I’ve definitely seen travelers coming out of it. The Brothel part just makes too much sense for it not to be true.

It seems The Allen Lee bills itself as a hostel.
Hostel Ratings has a better opinion of the place than Trip Advisor.
The breakfast must be fantastic.
The real question: what IS the Allen Lee? Apartments, brothel, cheap motel… which? I’ve wondered this since coming to GW.
