G-Scene Briefly Sabotaged!
Amanda Hess, a GW English alum, posted this article on Washington City Paper’s The Sexist blog.
It looks like the G-Scene was accidental host to a post that outright mocked them.
Read the article.
Long time ago (8/1), GWPatriot’s Patty J Ford wrote a post called “What Keeps Us From Being A Great University?”.
Short time ago (9/2), G-Scene copy-paste-posted Patrick’s article on their blog. Since they copy-paste-posted, I figured I might as well take a screenshot of their post to show y’alls. Here is the G-Sceneseseses’s pseudo-post:
“This type of garbage” refers to Inside GW, which appears to be nothing more than a better designed, differently misogynist — it’s written by a female — version of G-Scene. Were these blog names chosen only because they are absurdly easy to jam into an innuendo?
Edit: Inside GW is not written by a female. Patty J Ford actually wrote this article about the dude who wrote it. I don’t think the post is very funny and I am anti-ad hominem and I don’t want this to become some sort of lame personal attack situation. The only reason I even posted any of this is because the City Paper article reminded me that G-Scene existed, so I saw they had misattributed our blog’s name to one of Patty J Ford’s posts on the Patriot.
Given the sheer heft of their lameness, I can’t decide if I want to link people to Inside GW or G-Scene, but since G-Scene’s URL is neither http://www.gscene.com/ or http://www.g-scene.com/ — & at least one of those might draw some weird looks in Gelman or the middle of class — here are the links:
G-Scene (http://gwscene.com/)
Inside GW (http://insidegw.com/)
Regarding Patrick’s point that these kind of websites are harbingers of the GWapocalypse (Gwa-pock-a-lips) doesn’t hold water for me. Whatever these people are extolling is perpetually disippating: it doesn’t maintain itself.

My favorite part is “What the Colonialist Has to Say” when his post was clearly on a completely different blog.
It looks like posting blogs on the blogs of others’ (damn my punctuation) is the new trend nowadays. Not trying to be offensive, but it’s the truth.
Patrick’s post wasn’t offensive to me, I thought it was funny. My site is ridiculous, but it’s an inside joke with my friends. Also a good place to find hot girls and fun parties.

Inside GW isn’t written by a female. It’s some dude named Anthony Suber.
